Where did the idea come from?

Seth Lohr (the founder of eScorian.com) volunteered for political campaigns through much of his teenager years. The hustle and excitement of trying to get someone elected, it was electrifying.

But one fateful night in 2008, while sitting in a boardroom alone at 9pm, he had a vision.

The phone sheet for that night sat on the table, containing the phone numbers of voters. These were people to contact, and ask to vote for his candidate (in political terms, this constant dialing up of voters is called “phone banking”).

These were voters who would be contacted every single year, no matter who was running for office. All of the work Seth was doing in this election cycle would be wasted – non-transferable from year to year. It was ephemeral.

But…what if it was permanent? What if there was a way to know how voters thought, year to year?

The quest to find an answer has led to what eScorian.com is today.

A lot of money and effort is wasted every year, just to rehash old ground: because political campaigns do not have any kind of permanent relationship with voters past the election cycle.

Further, this non-relationship hurts the voters – because there is a lack of trust on either side of the transaction (in an election). A truly impartial middle party could change all of that. The principles displayed in Jesus, in how we balance Grace and Truth – these are the principles that voters deserve to have available to them.

eScorian.com is here to help solve the problem, on both sides of the relationship.
